Last year, 20,000 runners crossed the city during the fifth edition of the TREK® Antwerp Marathon. On Sunday 18 October 2026, the sixth edition of this popular autumn running party will take place. In addition to the marathon, the programme also features a half marathon and 10K. Registrations for the TREK® Antwerp Marathon opened on Wednesday morning. More than 4,000 runners registered in the first couple of hours.

Running past iconic locations such as the Port Authority building, Meir and Central Station, with the finish line at the MAS. That was the scenario during last year’s record-breaking edition. For the TREK® Antwerp Marathon 2026, organiser Golazo is building on this successful course concept with a maximum focus on experience, accessibility and speed. All route details for the TREK® Antwerp Marathon, TREK® Antwerp Half Marathon and TREK® Antwerp 10K will be announced later.

“Year after year, we see more supporters lining the route,” says Greg Broekmans of organiser Golazo. “The TREK® Antwerp Marathon is now known for its incredible atmosphere along the route. That, combined with a flat course, means that we are expecting another top edition this year attracting more participants than ever.”

Councillor for Sport Stijn De Rooster: “Follow my lead and register now for the running event of the autumn, which is growing in popularity and putting Antwerp on the map internationally as a running destination. That way, you’ll have one less administrative worry and, above all, one more sporting challenge. Whatever distance you run and whatever your goal, the TREK® Antwerp Marathon promises to be another lively running event. Good luck with all your preparations!”

Mayor Els van Doesburg: “Sunday 18 October promises to be a great day. Whether you’re running or cheering them on, the TREK® Antwerp Marathon will make our city shine. With plenty of time left to train, now is the time to bite the bullet and register.”

Jan Boone, CEO of Lotus Bakeries: “We are proud to be working with Golazo again as title partner in the city of Antwerp. The TREK® Antwerp Marathon is a wonderful opportunity to welcome thousands of runners and supporters to a unique setting and feel the vibrant energy in the city. With our TREK® protein bars, we provide natural energy from start to finish. It is the ideal snack before and after exercise, for both recreational runners and experienced marathon runners. Exercise and connection are central to us, which makes this the ideal collaboration. Good luck to all participants!”
