Registration for the Antwerp Marathon scheduled for Sunday 19 October 2025 opens Friday at noon. The fifth edition offers three possible distances including the full marathon, the Antwerp Half Marathon and the Antwerp 10K, just like the previous edition, and hopes to go for another record edition after last year.
On Sunday 19 October, Antwerp will turn into the beating heart for running enthusiasts and many spectators along the route. The Antwerp Marathon will again feature an all-city course, passing by the iconic landmarks of the city.
“The Baloise Antwerp 10 Miles sold out in two days, the Marathon grew by 60% last year and already we are receiving a lot of queries about the next edition of the Antwerp Marathon. That’s why we decided to open registration earlier than in previous years. People like to prepare well and want to set their goals now,” says Greg Broekmans of Golazo.
Like last year, the Waagnatie will be the base for the whole practical framework. The starting shot will sound a bit further down on Droogdokkenweg, after which runners will be treated to Antwerp’s most famous attractions along the way. A well-deserved shiny medal awaits everyone at the finish line at the MAS.
For the coming edition, the Antwerp Marathon is aiming to see more than 20,000 runners cross Antwerp, spread over three distances: the full Antwerp Marathon and the Antwerp 10K in the morning, followed by the Antwerp Half Marathon which starts shortly after twelve noon. With numerous entertainment spots on the city loop, a vibrant atmosphere will once again be provided for participants and fans to enjoy.
“Four editions. That’s all the Antwerp Marathon needed to attract nearly 20,000 runners from home and abroad and become the second big running event in Antwerp. That’s quite a feat, although I am not surprised by that appeal. I know how pleasing and infectious it is to run through the City in great numbers and let yourself be propelled by the amazing atmosphere. So, you can definitely expect me at the start. I have a lot of work to do to get in shape, but I still have time and, above all, a lot of enthusiasm to clock up those kilometres by 19 October,” says Councillor for Sport Stijn De Rooster.
Those who want to secure a starting number and also benefit from the most advantageous rate should register as early as possible. In principle, online registration stays open until Saturday 18 October, the day before the Antwerp Marathon, or as long as places are still available.
