Would you rather take the challenge in a team of friends, colleagues or maybe even you entire family? Then you can register your team of four members for the Antwerp Relay Marathon.

Each team consists of 4 runners who will relieve each other at pre-determined points and they will cover 42.195 km in total. Participants run (approximately) 16 km, 11 km, 9 km and 6 km consecutively. The exchange zones will be signed a couple of hundred metres ahead of the zone and are also well indicated in the exchange zones themselves as “Relay zone 1, 2 of 3”.

Starter packs will not be sent to your home address. The team captain can collect the starter pack on site from the pre-registration stand on Saturday September 10 or Sunday September 11. The pack contains:

  • 4 race numbers
  • pins
  • Relay baton

The relay baton can be collected at the registration area by the first runner.

Each team runs with a relay baton which contains an electronic chip. That chip measures the time and includes every team in the ranking. Runner 1 gives the relay baton to runner 2 in the first exchange zone, etc.
